Official plot details and cast lists can be found after the jump!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><em>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation<\/em> kicks off season thirteen with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/csi\/season13\/karma_to_burn.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Karma to Burn&#8221;<\/a> on Wednesday at 10:00pm ET\/PT:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>D.B. Russell&#8217;s granddaughter was kidnapped in last season&#8217;s finale cliffhanger and now he leads the CSI team on a hunt to find her.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Karma to Burn&#8221; was directed by <strong>Alec Smight<\/strong>, who helmed 28 previous episodes of <em>CSI;<\/em> his most recent credit was for the season twelve finale, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/csi\/season12\/homecoming.shtml\">&#8220;Homecoming&#8221;<\/a>. Co-Producer <strong>Christopher Barbour<\/strong> wrote the teleplay with Executive Producer <strong>Don McGill<\/strong>, based on a story by Barbour. Barbour has ten writing credits for <em>CSI<\/em>, and McGill wrote five previous episodes; the most recent credit for both men was &#8220;Homecoming&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The following guest stars will appear in the premiere:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Marc Vann<\/strong>as Conrad Ecklie<\/li>\n<li><strong>Peri Gilpin<\/strong>as Barbara Russell<\/li>\n<li><strong>Brooke Nevin<\/strong>as Maya<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mia Hays<\/strong>as Kaitlyn<\/li>\n<li><strong>Billy Magnussen<\/strong>as Det. Peri Gilpin is back as DB&#8217;s wife Barbara, who was first seen in &#8220;Homecoming&#8221;. Also reprising their roles from the finale, Brooke Nevin and Mia Hays return as DB&#8217;s daughter Maya and granddaughter Kaitlyn. DB&#8217;s son Charlie will be back, played by <strong>Brandon W Jones<\/strong>, who was last seen in season twelve&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/csi\/season12\/trends_with_benefits.shtml\">&#8220;Trends With Benefits&#8221;<\/a>. Billy Magnussen, Peter Onorati, and Craig Sheffer were in &#8220;Homecoming&#8221;; the finale also featured Conor O&#8217;Farrell as former Undersheriff Jeffrey McKeen, and Enrique Murciano in his fourth appearance as Detective Carlos Moreno. Lewis T Powell has three previous credits for the series, most recently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/csi\/season12\/csi_unplugged.shtml\">&#8220;CSI Unplugged&#8221;<\/a> from last season. The other actors are new to the franchise.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, <em>CSI: New York<\/em> premieres in its new 8:00pm ET\/PT timeslot with the first episode of season nine, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/newyork\/season9\/reignited.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Reignited&#8221;<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The CSIs investigate when a fire chief &#8211; a friend of Mac&#8217;s &#8211; is killed in a blaze that used the same technique as a recently paroled arsonist.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Director <strong>Jeff T Thomas<\/strong> has six previous credits for <em>New York<\/em>, most recently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/newyork\/season8\/crossroads.shtml\">&#8220;Crossroads&#8221;<\/a> from season eight. The premiere was written by Executive Producer <strong>Zachary Reiter<\/strong> and Co-Executive Producer <strong>John Dove<\/strong>. Reiter penned 26 previous episodes, including last season&#8217;s finale, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/newyork\/season8\/near_death.shtml\">&#8220;Near Death&#8221;<\/a>; Dove has 17 writing credits for the series, most recently season eight&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/newyork\/season8\/unwrapped.shtml\">&#8220;Unwrapped&#8221;<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Reignited&#8221; will feature the following actors and actresses in guest-starring roles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Megan Dodds<\/strong>as Christine Whitney<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rob Morrow<\/strong>as Leonard Brooks<\/li>\n<li><strong>Louis Herthum<\/strong>as Capt. Rob Morrow is making the first of two appearances as convicted arsonist Leonard Brooks. Louis Herthum has previously appeared on <em>CSI<\/em> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/csi\/season11\/the_list.shtml\">&#8220;The List&#8221;<\/a>) and <em>CSI: Miami<\/em> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/miami\/season10\/blown_away.shtml\">&#8220;Blown Away&#8221;<\/a>). Scott Subiono was in the <em>CSI<\/em> episode <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/csi\/season7\/built_to_kill_2.shtml\">&#8220;Built to Kill, Part 2&#8221;<\/a> during the show&#8217;s seventh season.
