{"id":27593,"date":"2012-09-11T19:08:59","date_gmt":"2012-09-12T02:08:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/?p=27593"},"modified":"2012-09-11T19:08:59","modified_gmt":"2012-09-12T02:08:59","slug":"gary-dourdan-wont-appear-in-upcoming-installment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/2012\/09\/gary-dourdan-wont-appear-in-upcoming-installment\/","title":{"rendered":"Gary Dourdan Won&#8217;t Appear In Upcoming Installment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CSI Files was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/2012\/07\/interview-don-mcgill\/\" target=\"_blank\">first to report<\/a> that an upcoming installment of <em>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation<\/em>, written by <strong>Tom Mularz<\/strong>, will feature a case connected to Warrick Brown; I have now learned that original cast member <strong>Gary Dourdan<\/strong>, who left the show in 2008, will not make a cameo appearance in the November episode.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Executive producer <strong>Don McGill<\/strong>\u00a0revealed to me this past July that &#8220;We\u2019re looking at a very cool story that would involve Nick [<strong>George Eads<\/strong>] being brought in on a murder case involving someone close to Warrick\u2019s ex-wife.&#8221; Dourdan, who played the CSI who suffered from an addiction to gambling for just over eight seasons, recently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deadline.com\/2012\/08\/tv-castings-gary-dourdan-jay-harrington-and-aisha-hinds-book-recurring-roles\/\" target=\"_blank\">landed a recurring role<\/a> on the upcoming ABC series <em>Mistresses<\/em>, his first major role since exiting <em>CSI<\/em> after his character was killed by Undersheriff McKeen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tvguide.com\/News\/CSI-Nick-Dog-1052808.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">TV Guide Magazine<\/a> recently published an article elaborating on the November sweeps episode.
