The third episode of CSI: New York’<\/i>s upcoming ninth season will feature Peter Horton<\/b> in a guest-starring role, and fans can look forward to family moments for several members of the team. (Spoilers after the jump!)<\/p>\n
\nAccording to TV Guide<\/a>, Horton will guest-star in episode three as an FBI agent from California. The character once dated Jo Danville (Sela Ward<\/b>), and they reconnect when he makes a visit to NYC. He then helps the CSIs with their case, which leads the team to the other side of the country. “The hook is ‘bridge to bridge,'” Executive Producer Pam Veasey<\/b> told TV Line<\/a>. “Brooklyn to Golden Gate. There’s a murder situation where we start in New York and travel to San Francisco.” Scenes from this episode will be filmed on location in the City by the Bay.<\/p>\n \nThe fourth episode of the season will feature a family outing gone bad for Lindsay Messer (Anna Belknap<\/b>), her husband Danny (Carmine Giovinazzo<\/b>), and their daughter Lucy. “Danny and Lindsay are out in the city with Lucy, and Lindsay finds herself in a little bit of danger,” Veasey said. As CSI Files previously reported<\/a>, Lindsay gets injured when a political candidate is shot, and the situation not only makes her a victim, but a “reluctant witness” as well.<\/p>\n \nThis glimpse of the Messer family is part of an overall trend for season nine, which Veasey explained will have plenty of “humor, surprises, gimmicks and personal stories.” She added, “Every character will have an episode where we follow them home on their day off.” Veasey also told E! Online<\/a> that Don Flack (Eddie Cahill<\/b>) will have his personal storyline early in the season. The episode will be emotional for Flack, and Veasey promised that fans have not seen the last of his sister Sam (Kathleen Munroe<\/b>).
