{"id":17931,"date":"2011-10-27T23:03:39","date_gmt":"2011-10-28T06:03:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/?p=17931"},"modified":"2011-10-27T23:03:57","modified_gmt":"2011-10-28T06:03:57","slug":"tnt-casts-scent-of-the-missing-mendelsohn-sells-6-more-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/2011\/10\/tnt-casts-scent-of-the-missing-mendelsohn-sells-6-more-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"TNT Casts &#8216;Scent Of The Missing&#8217;, Mendelsohn Sells 6 More Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Eric Winter<\/b> has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deadline.com\/2011\/10\/eric-winter-cast-as-the-male-lead-in-tnts-pilot-scent-of-the-missing\/\">joined the cast<\/a> of <I>Scent of the Missing<\/i>, the drama series <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/2011\/09\/tnt-orders-pilot-for-mendelsons-scent-of-the-missing\/\">executive produced<\/a> by <i>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation<\/i> EP <b>Carol Mendelsohn<\/b>, which has been given a pilot order from TNT. The series previously <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deadline.com\/2011\/10\/tnt-pilot-scent-of-the-missing-sets-tricia-helfer-as-lead-gerald-mcraney-to-co-star\/\">cast<\/a> <b>Tricia Helfer<\/b> in the lead role, and <b>Gerald McRaney<\/b> plays her father.<\/p>\n<p>\nIn addition to <i>Missing<\/i>, Mendelsohn recently sold six projects to CBS, CW and FX. (More info can be found after the jump!)<\/p>\n<p>\n<!--more-->Mendelsohn&#8217;s production company sold three dramas to CBS. CSI Files previously <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/2011\/09\/tnt-orders-pilot-for-mendelsons-scent-of-the-missing\/\">mentioned<\/a> two of them, <i>Two Badges<\/i> and the recently-named <i>Widow Detective<\/i>, and the third is called <I>The Murder Room<\/i>. Based on a book by <b>Michael Capuzzo<\/b>, <i>Murder Room<\/i> tells the true story of three men&#8212;an FBI investigator, a forensic artist and a profiler&#8212;who form a team bent on solving the world&#8217;s most difficult crimes.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe CW picked up two supernatural series from Mendelsohn, <I>Unearthly<\/i> and <i>The Hollows<\/i>. <i>Unearthly<\/i>, based on the book by <b>Cynthia Hand<\/b>, centers around a girl who realizes that she is destined to become an angel. <i>Hollows<\/i> is based on <b>Kim Harrison&#8217;<\/b>s bestselling urban fantasy series, which focuses on a witch who works as a private investigator, helping local law enforcement agencies solve crimes.<\/p>\n<p>\nFX bought the sixth series, <i>Throwdown Gun<\/i>. The project centers around a white cop and a black cop, who work together to cover up a violent crime.
