{"id":15448,"date":"2011-06-13T00:40:22","date_gmt":"2011-06-13T07:40:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/?p=15448"},"modified":"2011-06-13T00:41:17","modified_gmt":"2011-06-13T07:41:17","slug":"joy-takes-on-one-of-the-greatest-roles-of-all-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/2011\/06\/joy-takes-on-one-of-the-greatest-roles-of-all-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Joy Takes On &#8216;One Of The Greatest Roles Of All Time&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CSI Files previously <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/2011\/06\/joy-brings-prospero-to-life-in-the-tempest\/\">reported<\/a> that <b>Robert Joy<\/b> (<i>CSI: New York&#8217;<\/i>s Dr Sid Hammerback) would be starring in <i>The Tempest<\/i> later this month at Theatre by the Bay in Barrie, Ontario. &#8220;The idea of doing a play with <b>Ruby<\/b>, my daughter, was totally irresistible,&#8221; the actor told the <i>Barrie Examiner<\/i>. &#8220;But it would have been irresistible anyway&#8212;to be offered Prospero in <i>The Tempest<\/i>&#8212;which is one of the greatest roles of all time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\n&#8220;<i>The Tempest<\/i> is one of those plays that combines drama and comedy,&#8221; Joy continued. &#8220;In the old-fashioned sense it&#8217;s definitely a comedy, because after going through all the trouble in the play you come out on top rather than, like Hamlet, dead on the floor.
