The finales of all three CSI<\/i> series are coming up soon, and the season ends with a climactic confrontation, the last escaped prisoner and one final unsolved case. Spoilers after the jump!<\/p>\n
\nCSI: Miami<\/i> will be the first member of the franchise to air its finale on Sunday, May 8 at 10:00pm ET\/PT. “Mayday”<\/a> finds Horatio Caine (David Caruso<\/b>) tracking down the final escaped prisoner after a plane crash nearly kills several members of the team. The CSIs will be aided by an undercover agent played by<\/a> Natasha Henstridge<\/b>. The episode will end with several characters in peril. “In our season opener, Horatio risked everything to save our entire team,” co-executive producer Barry O’Brien<\/b> explained. “In the season finale, he puts his very survival on the line to save one. I think that’s where the shock will come from.”<\/p>\n \nCSI: Crime Scene Investigation’<\/i>s finale, “In a Dark, Dark House”<\/a>, will air on Thursday, May 12 at 9:00pm ET\/PT. Dr Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne<\/b>) goes after Nate Haskell (Bill Irwin<\/b>) when the serial killer kidnaps his ex-wife Gloria (Tracee Ellis Ross<\/b>). Langston is obsessed, and the rest of the team has to decide what they’re willing to do in order to capture Haskell. The final confrontation will be deadly. “Haskell and Langston are reflections of each other, at least in Haskell’s mind,” executive producer Carol Mendelsohn<\/b> told TV Guide<\/i>. “Can either man kill the other and not kill themselves?”<\/p>\n \nCSI: New York<\/i> will delve into the past during the season seven finale, “Exit Strategy”<\/a>. The episode, which airs on Friday, May 13 at 9:00pm ET\/PT, finds Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise<\/b>) seeking closure. Following a near death experience, Mac tries to solve his final unsolved case. “In the very first season, we mentioned that there’s a stack of folders on Mac’s desk, [cases] that he was passionate about,” executive producer Pam Veasey<\/b> shared. “In this last episode, he picks up the very last one.” There has been no word about New York’<\/i>s chances of getting an eighth season, but this episode could serve as a series finale if CBS opts to pare down the franchise this year.<\/p>\n \nTV Guide<\/i> also offered another tidbit about CSI: NY<\/i>, which concerns Danny Messer’s (Carmine Giovinazzo<\/b>) career. Danny passes the sergeant’s test, which is good news for him and his wife, Lindsay (Anna Belknap<\/b>); however, if the series gets an eighth season, Veasey revealed that Danny’s new job could cause problems for the couple. “[You’ll] get a hint of how dynamically different their working relationship might be,” she explained.
