Louise Lombard is a former series regular who is returning as Sofia Curtis for the first time since the season eight premiere, <a  href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/csi\/season8\/dead_doll.shtml\">&#8220;Dead Doll&#8221;<\/a>. Tracee Ellis Ross was introduced as Dr Langston&#8217;s ex-wife Gloria in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/csi\/season11\/all_that_cremains.shtml\">&#8220;All That Cremains&#8221;<\/a> this season, and Dean Norris played Gloria&#8217;s new husband Phil. Bill Irwin is back as serial killer Nate Haskell, who was last seen in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/csi\/season11\/targets_of_obsession.shtml\">&#8220;Targets of Obsession&#8221;<\/a> earlier this year. Kate Blumberg also appeared in &#8220;Targets of Obsession&#8221; as Haskell&#8217;s fianc\u00e9e Vivian, and Amanda Wyss was in the episode as well. Raymond J. Barry was in the season three episode <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/csi\/season3\/the_accused_is_entitled.shtml\">&#8220;The Accused Is Entitled&#8221;<\/a>. Shelli Bergh guest-starred in several previous episodes of <i>CSI<\/i> (most recently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/csi\/season9\/all_in.shtml\">&#8220;All In&#8221;<\/a>) and had a recurring role on <i>CSI: Miami<\/i> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/miami\/season4\/double_jeopardy.shtml\">&#8220;Double Jeopardy&#8221;<\/a>). Bruce Davison was in the <I>Miami<\/i> episode <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/miami\/season4\/dead_air.shtml\">&#8220;Dead Air&#8221;<\/a> during the show&#8217;s fourth season. The other actors are new to the franchise.<\/p>\n<p>\nOn Friday, <I>CSI: New York<\/i> introduces a man from Mac&#8217;s past in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/newyork\/season7\/nothing_for_something.shtml\">&#8220;Nothing For Something&#8221;<\/a> at 9:00pm ET\/PT:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The CSIs investigate a woman&#8217;s death as the work of a serial killer, and Mac reconnects with his first partner after an ex-con they put away begins stalking him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\nDirector <b>Eric Laneuville<\/b> helmed three previous episodes of <I>New York<\/i>, most recently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/newyork\/season7\/to_what_end.shtml\">&#8220;To What End?&#8221;<\/a> from earlier this season.
