Sela Ward<\/b> joined the cast of CSI: New York<\/i> because the character of Jo Danville was a departure from her usual roles. “It is very different from what I have done before and that’s why I decided to give it a shot,” the actress told Sun2Surf<\/i>. “For me, that’s the way you keep growing, when you challenge yourself and do things you have never done before.”<\/p>\n
\n“I really love who Jo is. She is a strong, smart woman and I love her sense of humour,” Ward added. However, CSI: NY<\/i> concentrates on the crimes, and details about the characters’ lives are revealed slowly over time. “[Y]ou don’t really find out everything about the characters because that is the nature of the show,” the actress explained, “so you don’t really get to the underbelly of who they are.”
