None of the CSI<\/i> series or actors made the final list of nominees for the upcoming People’s Choice Awards 2011<\/i>, but CBS is represented in multiple categories.<\/p>\n
\nThe awards show will air Wednesday, January 5, 2011 on CBS, and the ceremony will be hosted by Queen Latifah<\/b>. Fans cast more than 35 million votes to determine this year’s nominees. Voting for the winners will run now through December 7, 2010, with two exceptions: “Favorite New TV Drama” and “Favorite New TV Comedy” will remain open for voting until the night of the ceremony.<\/p>\n
\nCBS’s The Good Wife<\/i> is nominated for “Favorite TV Drama”, and the show’s star Julianna Margulies<\/b> is up for “Favorite TV Drama Actress”. The network is represented three times in the “Favorite TV Comedy” category with How I Met Your Mother<\/i>, The Big Bang Theory<\/i> and Two and a Half Men<\/i>. Jim Parsons<\/b> (The Big Bang Theory<\/i>) and Neil Patrick Harris<\/b> (How I Met Your Mother<\/i>) are nominated in the “Favorite TV Comedy Actor” category, and Harris’s costar Alyson Hannigan<\/b> is nominated for “Favorite TV Comedy Actress”. Carrie Underwood<\/b> got a “Favorite TV Guest Star” nod for her role on How I Met Your Mother<\/i>. Criminal Minds<\/i> and NCIS<\/i> are in the “Favorite TV Crime Drama” category.<\/p>\n
\nIn the new “Favorite TV Crime Fighter” category chosen by fans, Mark Harmon<\/b> (NCIS<\/i>) and Simon Baker<\/b> (The Mentalist<\/i>) made the list of nominees. Another category fans chose was “Favorite TV Family”, and the Harpers from Two and a Half Men<\/i> got nominated. Speaking of new, several CBS series made the final list for “Favorite New TV Comedy” and “Favorite New TV Drama”. $#*! My Dad Says<\/i> and Mike & Molly<\/i> are in the comedy category. Blue Bloods<\/i> is nominated for new drama along with former CSI: New York<\/i> executive producer Peter Lenkov’<\/b>s series Hawaii Five-0<\/i> and The Defenders<\/i>, which is helmed by CSI: Crime Scene Investigation<\/i> executive producer Carol Mendelsohn<\/b>.<\/p>\n
