Marg Helgenberger<\/b> (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’<\/i>s Catherine Willows) discussed her desire to leave the series during CBS Studios’ international press junket on Saturday.<\/p>\n
\nAs CSI Files previously reported<\/a>, Helgenberger is currently planning to exit CSI<\/i> after season 11, although it is possible she could return in some capacity next season. “It’s not that I feel disappointed or don’t like the show anymore, or am in any way unhappy,” Helgenberger said (as reported by the Vancouver Sun<\/i>). “It’s really just more about me, as an actor and as a person, realizing it’s time to kind of switch it off and see what else is out there.”<\/p>\n \n“I’m ready for a new chapter,” she continued. After working on the series for more than a decade, moving on won’t be easy. “The hardest part, of course, will be saying goodbye to everyone I’ve worked with all these years, because we’re really a family.”<\/p>\n \nHelgenberger hesitated to say her time with CSI<\/i> has taken a toll on her “because if I were an actor and I heard me complaining, I’d slap me,” she said with a laugh. “You know what I mean?
