CSI<\/i> creator Anthony Zuiker<\/b> is bringing a villain from his Level 26<\/i> digi-novels to the small screen with an appearance during next week’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation<\/i> episode “Sqweegel”<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nSqweegel is the name of a forensic-proof serial killer from the first Level 26<\/i> novel, Dark Origins<\/a>. Featuring the character on CSI<\/i> provides a cross-platforming opportunity to link television to the digi-novel concept, which already fuses traditional books with the internet. “We’ve seen characters move from TV show to TV show,” explained Starlight Runner Entertainment’s chief executive officer Jeff Gomez<\/b>. “But to move a character from a book to TV is really a significant way to extend a story line, and it comes from the book industry, which could use the help.”<\/p>\n

\nAs CSI Files previously reported<\/a>, “Sqweegel” will feature a guest appearance from legendary actress Ann-Margret<\/b>. The episode airs on October 14, which coincides with the release date of the second Level 26<\/i> novel Dark Prophecy<\/i>. Zuiker hopes the storyline encourages CSI<\/I> fans to give Level 26<\/i> a try. “If I can just get 1 percent of the 15 million people who watch CSI<\/i> to buy this book I’ll have a bestseller on my hands,” he said.
