Ward will debut when the show premieres on Fridays this fall. The new character is &#8220;an experienced investigator from Washington, DC, whose work is driven by her empathy for the victim.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\n&#8220;We are delighted to have Sela joining <i>CSI: NY<\/i>,&#8221; executive producer <b>Pam Veasey<\/b> <a href=\"http:\/\/ausiellofiles.ew.com\/2010\/07\/13\/sela-ward-joins-csi-ny\/\">said<\/a> in a statement. &#8220;With the exciting stories planned for Season 7, she&#8217;ll be a dynamic addition to the cast and the team.&#8221; Ward said, &#8220;I am thrilled to be working with <b>Gary<\/b> [<b>Sinise<\/b>, Mac Taylor] and this terrific group of people.
