One CSI’s investigation causes friction with the rest of the team, and the lab is in a race against time in the season eight finale of CSI: Miami<\/i>. (Spoilers after the jump!)<\/p>\n
\nAt the end of the last episode of Miami<\/i>, “Mommie Deadest”<\/a>, an explosion killed State Attorney Rebecca Nevins (Christina Chang<\/b>) and nearly took out Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez<\/b>) as well. Eric was on his way to report the latest findings from his investigation of the lab, and he will redouble his efforts in “Time Bomb”<\/a> this Monday at 10:00pm ET\/PT. “[The explosion] kicks Delko’s investigation into overdrive,” producer Krystal Houghton<\/b> told TVGuide.com. “It’s not just who’s stealing, but who’s murdering? During the investigation, somebody involved in the theft dies, and somebody else’s career is ruined. Unless there’s a prison break, it’s safe to say we’ve seen the last of him.”<\/p>\n \nNatalia Boa Vista (Eva La Rue<\/b>) was not pleased with Eric when she found out he was wearing a wire and investigating their coworkers. “Natalia feels betrayed by Delko,” Houghton said. “She knows what happens when you’re the mole and keep secrets, so she wants to be up-front. She promised him she wouldn’t tell, but there’s only so long that she can keep that promise.”<\/p>\n \nThe truth about the investigation could spell trouble for Eric’s relationship with Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter<\/b>). “He’s her boyfriend, but he’s also investigating her,” Houghton explained. “That’s going to be a tough one if she finds that out. He keeps it a secret, and he puts his job above the relationship. That’s a big issue for them.”<\/p>\n \nWhen the season finale, “All Fall Down”<\/a>, airs on May 24, the rest of the team will find themselves relying on Eric and Horatio Caine (David Caruso<\/b>) when their lives are on the line. A serial killer leaves the team clues about his victims, taunting them. “This killer is out for blood, and all the CSIs end up in jeopardy, except for Horatio and Delko,” Houghton revealed. “The killer has very sneaky ways of getting to people—he doesn’t even have to be there. He sets things up ahead of time, and it’s a ticking clock for the CSIs to stop him.
