Leading man Gary Sinise<\/b> (Mac Taylor) talks CSI: New York<\/i>, the Lt Dan Band, Steppenwolf and the city that owns a piece of his heart.<\/p>\n
\nSinise has been with New York<\/i> since the series began in 2004. As for his future with the show, the actor is only looking one year ahead. “I’m booked through season seven,” he explained. “Beyond that, who knows what’ll happen with that?”<\/p>\n
\nIn addition to acting, Sinise travels around with his Lt Dan Band and performs for the men and women in the US military. He also does a few other performances, including a recent turn<\/a> on stage at a gala for the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, which he co-founded 36 years ago in Chicago, Illinois. “That’s my theater fix, and I get my onstage fix by playing music, and we can do some great things by having that kind of fun,” the actor said.<\/p>\n \nFor Sinise, one of the great things about performing is having a chance to give back to American soldiers. “For them, our brave defenders, we owe it to them to back them up,” he shared. “They are the providers and defenders of our freedom that we enjoy here.
