Mendelsohn Says Goodbye To ‘CSI’

1 min read

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation co-creator and showrunner Carol Mendelsohn has been with the series since it began, but she is leaving the crime drama after 14 seasons. Executive producer Don McGill, who has served as co-showrunner alongside Mendelsohn since 2010, will be in charge of CSI when season 15 starts this fall. Here’s a statement from Mendelsohn:

It’s been a long and amazing journey and I am so proud of CSI’s continued success. In handing over the helm to my dear friend and partner, Don McGill, I know he and our CSI team will carry on brilliantly what we’ve all created together. CSI, its cast and crew, writers and directors, will always be my family. I have learned so much from each and every one of them. About writing, producing and life. For that, and so much more, I am forever grateful.

In addition to leaving CSI, Mendelsohn chose not to renew her overall deal with CBS Television Studios. She will retain her executive producer credit for CSI and CSI: Cyber.
