‘CSI’ Rocks Out In ‘Long Road Home’

2 min read

The team investigates the death of a young woman with ties to a famous rock star, in the seventeenth episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s fourteenth season. (Major spoilers after the jump!)

According to CSI Files sources, “Long Road Home” opens at a rock concert. Marcy Cody is one of the fans in the crowd, and she’s having a great time—at least until she winds up dead later that night. Marcy’s body is found inside a 24-seat limo, surrounded by the remnants of a party. She was stabbed in the chest three times, but the lack of blood in the limo proves she was killed elsewhere.

The limo was rented with cash, so the company can’t give the CSIs a name. The driver, Mike, is at the hospital, having his stomach pumped due to alcohol poisoning. He picked up Marcy and the band at the Mediterranean, then drove them around while they partied. They ended up at the Brimstone Club, where a girl who called herself Tangerine joined the fun. Mike got carried away drinking and doing drugs with the band, and he passed out in the club. When he woke up, the band and the girls were gone, and there was no sign of the limo. He had to track the car to an alley, and he was shocked to find Marcy dead in the back.

Doc Robbins finds a signature scrawled in Sharpie just above Marcy’s breast, and Finn hopes she can use it to identify one of the band members. However, the signature is barely legible, and she’s having no luck enhancing it with the computer. Fortunately, Hodges is able to help her out. A melted guitar pick was found in an ashtray in the back of the limo, and he was able to trace it back to the owner. The pick was made specifically for one rock star: Gene Simmons from KISS (link).

The LVPD brings Simmons in for questioning, but he denies killing Marcy. He also denies partying the night before. Simmons is only guilty of helping a couple of wannabe rock stars live out their dreams. He performed with three men on stage as part of a ‘fame experience’—he has no idea what happened after the fake show was over.

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from early script drafts and the details of the episodes are liable to change before the episodes are shown.

“Long Road Home” is expected to air March 12 on CBS.
