Harper Launches Publishing House For Kids

Actor and author Hill Harper (CSI: New York’s Dr Sheldon Hawkes) has teamed up with teen author Pamela Wells to start Harper & Wells Books, a publishing house dedicated to multicultural children’s titles. “My focus is on publishing books about black issues,” Harper told Publishers Weekly. “I have always wanted a children’s book imprint that represents our voices. This is an extension of my belief that you manifest your own destiny in life.”

The first book that will be released by Harper & Wells is The Wiley Boys by Harper. The middle-grade novel centers around a trio of adopted brothers who love sports and become junior agents for the Sports Bureau of Investigations.
