The award goes to the dogs.

As CSI Files previously reported, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation was nominated for a Genesis Award. The awards, presented by the Humane Society of the United States, are given to members of the media in television, film, radio, print, music and the arts to honor those who bring attention to animal rights issues. The awards were held on March 29 in Beverly Hills, California.

CSI was nominated in the Dramatic Series category for "Lying Down With Dogs", an episode that dealt with dog fighting. The CBS drama took home the award, according to the LA Times, "For shedding light on the brutality of dog fighting with a plot that reveals a victim's sadistic life as a dog fighter may have led to her vengeful murder."

CBS was honored in several other categories as well. 60 Minutes was given the Genesis Award in the TV Newsmagazine category for multiple episodes dealing with endangered species. In National News Feature, CBS Evening News with Katie Couric was acknowledged for three segments that related to a tiger sanctuary, horse racing and dog fighting. CBS was also honored in the Morning News category for its Sunday morning program called "Baghdad Zoo, Unleashed and Unforgettable Elephants".

Why can't the CSIs get dates?

	All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
	It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
	Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
	These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
	They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
