  • Variety reports that with 22.3 million viewers, CSI: Miami's "After The Fall" was the most popular show last night. The trade publication speculates that once the final ratings are in, this could turn out to be the most-watched CSI: Miami of the season so far.

  • The ProScope handheld USB digital microscope, as seen on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Miami, will also be featured on CSI: New York, according to a press release from manufacturer Bodelin Technologies. The microscope is not only used by actual forensic investigators, but also by students in schools and universities.

  • The Wichita Eagle has an article comparing movies shot in location in Canada (standing in for the U.S.) and those actually filmed in America. By way of a comparison, the article notes:

To get an idea of what we're talking about, compare the look of TV's Law & Order, which is filmed in New York, where there is something authentic everywhere the camera points, to CSI: NY, which is filmed in California and has to move the camera cautiously, to make sure it doesn't accidentally get a palm tree or an al fresco botox-injection party.

  • According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sunday night's episode of the ABC drama Desperate Housewives attracted an average of 27 million viewers, causing the trade paper to remark: "Housewives is already the undisputed runaway hit of the new season, but at this rate, it's going to give CBS' CSI: Crime Scene Investigation serious competition for bragging rights as this season's top-rated program overall."

  • JorjaFox.net is giving away 10 copies of Food for the Heart on DVD. The site has also posted screencaps from last week's CSI episode, "Mea Culpa".

  • The William Petersen Appreciation Page has been updated with screencaps from the dailies for "Mea Culpa".

  • Sofia Milos (Yelina Salas) appeared in the 73rd Hollywood Christmas parade last week. A full report can be found at the LA Daily News.

  • American cop shoes, such as CSI, CSI: Miami and Cold Case, helped Australia's Nine Network to claim an end-of-year ratings victory, the Daily Telegraph reported. The TV station has bought the rights to CSI: New York, which it will premiere in early 2005.

  • Eric Szmanda (Greg Sanders) will be a guest on CBS' The Early Show on Thursday, December 2. Thanks to Christine for this!

  • Ann Hodgman at Entertainment Weekly posted her review of the most recent three CSI episodes to air, and it turns out she didn't like any of them! Miami's "After The Fall" fared best with a C, while the other two shows received only a C-. "Maybe they thought we'd all be away for Thanksgiving week?," a disappointed Hodgman asks in her full review.

  • Fortunately Television Without Pity's 'Sobell' liked CSI's "Mea Culpa" a lot better, awarding the show a B in her recaplet. The full recap will be posted later this week.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
