Unscripted fare takes a bite out of CSI in the first official week of the summer season.

On Monday, CSI: Miami's repeat pulled in 8.17 million viewers and a 2.2 rating/6 share in the 18-49 demographic, earning it the number one spot. The second half of a two-hour edition of Nashville Star (6.11 million and 1.9/6 from 9:00-11:00pm) came in next, followed by The Mole (4.11 million, 1.6/5).

CSI: New York came in first on Wednesday with 7.67 million viewers for its repeat at 10:00pm, followed by the premiere of Primetime: Crime with 6.77 million and Celebrity Circus with 5.67 million. In the 18-49 demo, however, New York (1.7/5) took a back seat to Circus (2.0/6) and Crime (1.8/5).

A repeat episode of CSI came up short on Thursday with 7.24 million viewers, making it the second-most watched show in its timeslot after So You Think You Can Dance, which had 8.56 million. Taking third and fourth place, respectively, were the second half of a two-hour Last Comic Standing (5.52 million) and a Grey's Anatomy repeat (3.36 million). In the 18-49 demo, CSI (1.7/5) took third place behind Dance (3.0/9) and Comic (2.3/7, falling to 2.2/7 at the half-hour). Grey's came in fourth in the demo with 1.0/3. CSI's lead-out, Swingtown, experienced another drop in viewers. It pulled in 5.65 million viewers (a series low so far), putting it in second place behind the season premiere of ABC's Hopkins, which had 5.84 million. Swingtown (1.9/6) beat Hopkins (1.6/5) in the 18-49 demo, but looking at the ratings since the show began, Swingtown has lost 2.92 million viewers and 32% among adults 18-49 in a steady three-week decline.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
