Eddie Cahill and Grant Albrecht have signed on to the CSI: New York cast, one stepping into the role of a decetive; the other to appear as a the head of the DNA lab.

Variety (via Yahoo News) is reporting that Cahill has won the role of Detective Don Flack. As previously reported by CSI Files, Flack will be a tough New York detective who relentlessly pursues his cases (story). Originally slated to appear in CSI: New York's pilot episode "MIA/NYC-NonStop", Flack will now first be seen in the first episode of the season this fall.

The twenty-six-year-old actor appeared on Friends in the 2000-2001 as Rachel's love interest, Tag. Cahill also headlined the short-lived WB series Glory Days in 2002, and made guest appearances Dawson's Creek, Charmed, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Felicity. He made his big screen debut in the film Miracles.

Albrecht's character will be the head of the DNA department who will aid Mac Taylor and Stella Bonasera and the rest of the CSI: New York team with DNA evidence from their cases. Albrecht, who uses a wheelchair, recently appeared in a showcase for actors with disabilities sponsored by CBS. On New York, Albrecht's character is a former long-distance runner who was sidelined by a disease, which paralyzed him from the waist down.

Albrecht has done guest spots in shows such as The Guardian, Malcolm in the Middle and Touched by an Angel. The actor has also done quite a bit of voice work, lending his voice to Justice League, Cowboy Bebop and The Jungle Book 2.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
