March 28, 2004 - 6:40 AMCSI: Crime Scene Investigation's third season will be available for purchase on DVD from this Tuesday.
The six-disc set includes all twenty-three episodes of year three, according to online retailer Amazon.com. All the episodes are presented in widescreen format with Dolby Surround Sound.
As with the season one and season two sets, the season three box comes packed with extra features. These include audio commentaries by members of the cast and crew on five episodes: "Revenge Is Best Served Cold", "The Accused Is Entitled", "Fight Night", "Snuff", "Random Acts of Violence" and the 90-minute special, "Lady Heather's Box".
The set also contains five featurettes, entitled "The CSI Tour: Police Station", "The CSI Shot: Making It Real", "The Writers Room", "CSI Moves Into Season Three" and "Crime Scene Field Kit".
CSI season three has a recommended retail price of $89.99, but is available from Amazon.com for $62.99, a 30% reduction. The DVD set can also ordered from Amazon.ca for 30% off.
The second CSI computer game, Dark Motives, was also released recently, Gaming Horizon reported.
A first-person mystery in the style of the first CSI PC adventure, Dark Motives features five new cases for fans to solve with the help of Grissom and the Las Vegas Crime Lab. The investigations are reportedly longer and harder than those in the first game, and the interface has also been upgraded for ease of play.
Dark Motives also includes a special "Behind The Scenes Commentary" section, which contains developmental sketches and footage from the making of the game.
Amazon.com is giving away a free copy of the novel Double Dealer with every copy of Dark Motives purchased. The game retails for $29.99. Discuss this news item at Talk CSI!
