The Insider visited the set of Miami during the filming of "Deviant" to talk to the actors about the perturbing plot.

In the episode, Horatio finds DNA evidence that shows that Alexx was putting up posters in her neighborhood warning parents that a child molester was moving to the area. The CSIs soon discover that a gang-mentality had spread throughout the community and that any number of the residents would have liked the man gone. Now, the team must work to prove that Alexx didn't cause the man's murder.

"It's one of these gray area things that I think we do well on Miami," said star David Caruso (Horatio Caine). "There's a child molester in the area, a registered pedophile, and he's been kinda hanging around the park."

Khandi Alexander, who plays Alexx Woods, said she enjoyed portraying another side of her character. "This is a very special episode. It's one of those where it takes a lot of twists and turns and it's a bit gut-wrenching. It's also morally challenging for a lot of parents. If you were the parent of a child and a sex offender moved into your neighborhood, what do you do? Especially if you work closely with law enforcement."

Whereas Miami spent last season pushing the envelope visually, this season it's gone a bit farther where the personal storylines are concerned. "I have to say that I think our creatives have found the balance to the show," Caruso added. "I think we all understand our function on the show, the characters, and we're in a good place."

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
