David Hodges (Wallace Langham) and Wendy Simms (Liz Vassey) embrace their inner nerd next month on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Friday Night Lights star Adrianne Palicki will guest star on CSI: Miami in April, and former Miami star Khandi Alexander (Dr Alexx Woods) might return next season.

In an episode of CSI that will air April 16, Hodges and Wendy will realize that they share a love for the same classic sci-fi series. As CSI Files previously reported, the episode will be called "A Space Oddity" and will take place at a science fiction convention. According to the official description for the episode, "When Hodges and Wendy run into each other at a science fiction convention for one of their favorite classic television shows, they end up investigating the murder of one of their beloved actors."

Over on Miami, Palicki will portray one of the contestants in a reality dating competition similar to The Bachelor. The episode will air in late April. As CSI Files previously reported, the star of the fictional show, "The Marrying Kind", must choose between the final two contestants. He sends one woman home, but when he goes to propose to the other woman, he finds her dead. Palicki will play one of the contestants on the show, Marissa, but her character will not be the victim.

Alexander left Miami last season, and she returned for a guest spot in this season's "Smoke Gets in Your CSIs". Emily Procter (Calleigh Duquesne) hopes that Alexander will appear again soon. "We've got our fingers crossed," Procter told E! Online. "Khandi's got a new show, but there is a storyline [they are writing for] her for the beginning of next season, so we're crossing our fingers that she will be available. Her new show [Tremé] is on cable, and the schedule tends to be the opposite, so I think she might have time [to do CSI: Miami]."

The original information about "A Space Oddity" is from MegaBuzz, and the Miami news is from BuddyTV and Watch With Kristin.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
