Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) honors a woman she admires.

As CSI Files previously reported, Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) is a co-producer of the musical Stay Forever: The Life and Music of Dusty Springfield. The former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star spoke highly of the late performer. "I don't know if I have a lot in common with Dusty Springfield," Fox told Lesbian News, "but she certainly is one of my heroes and mentors."

Springfield was producing music when the music industry was a "man's world" according to Kirsten Holly Smith, the star of the one-woman musical. Not only did Springfield take charge in the studio, she also took a stand on important issues. The singer was one of the first artists to publicly oppose segregation in South Africa, and she was also vocal about her own bisexuality. "She kind of stood up and did what she did and hoped that people would enjoy the music," Fox said. "She had great business sense. She took a hold of her career and took the risks to steer it."

Fox said that celebrity can be "challenging" to creativity because "it's easier for any artists out there to take risks if they're not already threatened by security or stability." She also related that to her own experience in the limelight. "As an actor, personally, I don't think anyone should ever feel comfortable," Fox said. "It doesn't matter how successful you get or how high you go, we all know there are flavours of the month, flavours of the year, and how quickly the tide can change. If I'm starting to feel comfortable, that's a warning sign. I would need to reevaluate."

Why can't the CSIs get dates?

	All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
	It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
	Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
	These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
	They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
