This week, Paramount released the complete 3rd season of CSI: Miami on DVD.

The 7-disc set includes all 24 episodes of the season, with special commentaries on the episodes "Lost Son," "Under the Influence," "Crime Wave," "After the Fall," "Shootout," and "Whacked." Other extra features include a complete overlook of season 3, as well as an 8-part look into the world of medical examiners featuring star Khandi Alexander (Dr. Alexx Woods).

Brad Brevet, of rapeofsilicon.com had the opportunity to watch and review this DVD set. Brevet found the set is too expensive when compared to that of other shows, but said that ultimately it's worth the money. "Miami has continued its storyline focus on Horatio Caine's "dead" brother giving viewers something to connect to from episode to episode. Unfortunately, there are a few too many times when things coincidentally pop up, but in this case more is better."

Next week, specifically on November 29th, the complete 5th season of CSI will also make its debut. This set includes a whooping total of 9 commentaries on the episodes "Viva Las Vegas," "Down The Drain," "Formalities," "Who Shot Sherlock?" "Snakes," "Spark of Life," "4 x 4," "Committed," and "Weeping Willows." The set also includes an overview of season 5 and a look into the Quentin Tarantino world, among others.

Brevet also had the opportunity to review this DVD set, and though he found the season as a whole to be a disappointment, he couldn't help praise the season finale "Grave Danger." "With a slight loss of intensity throughout the fifth season the Tarantino directed finale has so much intensity it practically oozes out of your television set. As Nick Stokes (George Eads) is kidnapped and buried alive in the opening minutes of the show Tarantino keeps his finger on the panic button for the duration leaving us with a nice lead-in to the sixth season."

The complete 3rd season of CSI: Miami and 5th season of CSI can both be purchased from amazon.com at a 30% discount. Brevet's reviews can be found here and here.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
