Hello World!

Every week I try to come up with an interesting topic and always have to go and talk about the weather.

I can't believe there's actually a hurricane Alpha. Not that I've been alive for centuries, but in my X years in this humble earth I never thought we'd get to Alpha. This is scary. My grandmother seems to think it's the end of the world and I should repent for my sins, only every time I try to walk into a church it bursts into flames.

Alpha is currently south of us, so bless, looks like that's another hurricane I'll miss. I also can't believe we've had like 7,468 hurricanes this year and none of them have hit us. That's a miracle and thank God. Everyone who lives in Florida take care, don't touch any loose cables, don't go surfing (unless you take me with you) and don't worry, one more month and we're free!

Talk CSI Files threads

Below are some of the topics currently being discussed at Talk CSI:

- Folks at the CSI: New York board are writing their very own New York episodes.

- In the CSI: General Discussion forum people are wondering: how many CSIs does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

- And in the Merchandise forum, a fan is wondering how good the CSI merchandise is in Las Vegas.

CSI Files Two Years Ago

Here's what was hot back in October of 2003:

  • TV Revenues Boost Viacom Profit
CSB's ex-parent company Viacom announced that strong advertising sales on MTV and CBS, fueled by "hit shows like CSI", had overshadowed weaker performance by radio and billboard advertising and the Blockbuster chain of video stores, and the company received a great boost as a result of the rise in television revenues.

  • Petersen Talks America's Forensics Fascination
William Petersen (Gil Grissom) explained it isn't CSI that got people into forensics, but the O.J. Simpson trial. "After the O.J. thing, I mean we sat there for two years and watched the O.J. trial, and we're very confused, I think, by the whole thing, for obvious reasons. So here was this thing that was going on, there was this language that was being spoken that nobody understood."

  • Production Continues Despite Bushfires
The massive bush fires that burned through Santa Clarita two years ago only interrupted the CSI production once, when the air quality was below poor. Other than that, the studios continued, business as usual, as the fires burned nearby.

This Week On TV

  • Tonight at 10:00pm, CBS will show the brand new episode of CSI: Miami "Under Suspicion." Here's what's happening in the episode:

"The CSIs must race against time when all evidence in a murder case points to Horatio. When a murdered woman is discovered, Horatio admits that he was seeing her and that he was the last person to see her alive. Although the evidence logically points to Horatio as the killer, our CSIs must now dig deeper to find the real killer and learn who would have the motive and the method to frame him."

  • CSI: New York's newest episode, "Dancing With The Fishes," airs on Wednesday night at 10 p.m. CBS describes the episode as follows:

"Mac, Stella and Det. Flack investigate the death of a young dancer who seems to fall from the sky and crashes into a car near the Queensboro Bridge. The team learns that the young dancer was enrolled in a famous dance school and her fellow competitors seem the most likely suspects. Meanwhile, when a local fish merchant’s body is found, Danny and Dr. Hawkes trace him back to the recently relocated Fulton Fish Market where they discover that he was impaled by a swordfish. Their investigation leads them to a high-priced Manhattan private school where parents will pay any price to get their children enrolled. Also, Lindsay examines the death of a Roosevelt Island Tram driver found dead on board by early morning commuters."

  • Lastly, on Thursday at 9:00pm, the CSI rerun "Spark of Life" is set to air. If you missed it the first time, this is what you can expect from it:

"Grissom discovers a connection between the fiery suicide of a woman in the Vegas wilderness and the slaughter of an entire family in a suburban home. The evidence exposes a couple's infidelity, as well as the unthinkable results of one woman's desperate attempt to get pregnant."

In addition to the above episodes on CBS, cable channel SpikeTV will of course continue its daily CSI repeats.
