The 5th episode of Miami, entitled "Under Suspicion," will place Horatio Caine under the microscope when the woman he's been dating is found murdered and he becomes the primary suspect.

According to CSI Files sources, the beginning of the episode focuses on a Mustang convertible as it journeys along the coast. Stephanie, Lisa, and Debbie are 18 years old, too young to drink and party, but that has never stopped a teenager before. As they drive home they quickly make the transformation from party girls to innocent victims, and begin practicing what they're going to say to their parents to justify missing their curfew. The girls have everything planned, even a quick change of clothes. But fate has a funny way of working out, and as Stephanie pulls a sweater over her head while simultaneously driving, the car veers to the right and falls into the waters.

Stephanie and Lisa are still shaken when Horatio and Tripp arrive. It seems Debbie's body has not been recovered yet, and the girls aren't hopeful. Stephanie quickly takes blame for the accident – she should've been more careful behind the wheel. But the girls later breathe a sigh of relief when the paramedics miraculously pull a live Debbie out of the waters. Tripp has bad news for the girls, however – it looks like their other friend didn't make it. The girls are confused, as there were only three of them in the car. Horatio and Tripp approach the unknown body, and as Alexx hovers over it Horatio's world spirals out of control. He doesn't need any form of ID to recognize her as Rachel Turner, the woman he's been dating.

Still disturbed by the death of Rachel, Horatio tries to keep away from the investigation as all eyes quickly turn to him with all kinds of unwelcome questions. This is an opportunity for Rick Stetler to make an unwanted appearance. But Horatio tries to remain grounded as he explains he last saw Rachel two nights before her body was recovered. Though the department quickly takes Horatio's side, knowing their superior and friend couldn't be capable of murder, Stetler doesn't miss an opportunity to make Horatio's life difficult. Horatio may have a strong alibi and an even stronger team working to clear his name, but Stetler's style has always been thorough, and the IAB agent quickly begins to prod into Horatio's past in order unravel the mystery of Rachel's death.

In the meantime, Calleigh, Delko, and Ryan begin to work incessantly to try and absolve their boss of all blame, but the CSIs continuously run into one wall after the other. Their investigation takes a bad turn when the murder weapon is found and Horatio's fingerprint is on it. Horatio is placed in a holding cell as a result; his only hope the knowledge that he has taught his CSIs well. It is only when Delko figures out Horatio's fingerprint was lifted and printed on the murder weapon by a third party that the CSIs catch a break, but now they're faced with a disturbing question - who would want to frame Horatio for murder, and how will Stetler's findings about his past affect the answer to this question?

Meanwhile, another member of the team faces personal tumult. Eric Delko hasn't been on good emotional footing since his best friend Tim Speedle died, and though Delko demonstrates great intellectual ability in this episode, his personal life is not in the best of shapes. In a plotline that has already been revealed by the producers (news), "Under Suspicion" will see the CSI buying marihuana presumably to cope with stress. Nobody notices his saddened demeanor except Calleigh, who drills him about it instantly, but Delko maintains he's just tired. However, Calleigh feels there is something wrong with her friend. Will she be able to help him before it's too late?

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from early script drafts and the details of the episodes are liable to change before the episodes are shown.

"Under Suspicion" will most likely air November of 2005.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
