Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) had to get used to a different way of life when she started to work on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Fox says that staying in one place isn't her normal lifestyle. "I'm a real nomad, so it has been weird to sort of set roots down in Los Angeles and be here for the most part, for most of the year," she told Curve in an interview during season five of CSI. This isn't limited to her professional life. It also extends to her personal relationships as well. "I am terrible at the long-distance relationship thing," Fox said. She also said that she believes in love but that she doesn't know if she'll "ever completely settle down."

Despite the difficulties, working on CSI has also had its high points for the actress. "I really love the people I work with," she said. She is also happy with Sara's wardrobe on the show. "[I]f I had to pick something that I was going to wear pretty much every day for five years, it would definitely be jeans and boots," she said, "and that's mostly what the character wears." She sometimes wears similar outfits outside of the show as well. "I also love being in Beverly Hills in my jeans and boots because it feels actually kind of scandalous. Oops, forgot my Prada today! I get a certain joy and satisfaction out of that."

Being in Los Angeles has allowed Fox to do something that she enjoys: surfing. "I'm not great, but I love it, and I go out a lot," she said. When she can't surf, she gets a workout by hiking and running. "I love to run because I can do that anywhere," she said. "No matter where I'm going, I can just throw my sneakers in my suitcase, and I can go run."
