ALERT: Entertainment Tonight To Visit Set Of 'Dead Air'

By Carolina
April 24, 2006 - 5:21 PM

In a segment that will air tonight, ET will visit the set of CSI: Miami to talk to David Caruso (Horatio Caine) and Alana de la Garza (Marisol Delko) about their characters' fate.

Horatio and Marisol's relationship has grown steadily in the last couple of months, and in tonight's episode, entitled "Dead Air," Horatio helps Marisol make an important decision that would not only affect their future, but her health as well.

"Marisol's big decision with Horatio will be deciding whether to stop chemo and try to conceive and have a child and what the outcome is going to be," de la Garza said. "Will she be okay if she stops? Is she going to make it worse if she ends treatment? Is she going to be able to conceive and have everything turn out okay? It's a pretty intense deal."

Caruso admitted the characters are in a very delicate place. "Horatio is in a situation where he's formed a deep attachment to somebody," he said. "And there's a chance this relationship won't get to materialize, and this world they're talking about creating may not happen because there's the element of the ticking clock."

Whether Marisol decides to have a baby it hasn't been revealed, but the actors hope the two characters remain happy for as long as they're allowed. "I think beneath all of it there's a tremendous power when two people decide to have a child," Caruso added. "And inside that power is a very deep hope, and the power of that hope can hopefully overcome the circumstances that could rob them of this world."
