CBS has released the official plot, creative staff & guest cast information for the two new CSI episodes airing this week.

On Monday night, CSI: Miami takes a brief break with a rerun of "Shootout". In this episode, Horatio and the team must find the gang members responsible for a shooting that takes place in the emergency room of hospital. The evidence suggests that an orderly in the hospital recognized the wounded gang member, who possibly killed one of the orderly's friends and alerted gang members to his location. However, the evidence doesn't match up and the CSIs discover that a cheating girlfriend, not gang retaliation, may be behind the shooting. Meanwhile, Ryan questions a mother in the E.R. after her story regarding her child doesn't add up.

On Wednesday at 10/9c, CSI: New York returns after a week of reruns with the brand new "Supply and Demand". Here's a brief description of the episode:

When a college student is beaten, shot to death and his apartment ransacked in what appears to be a drug-related hit, the team must track down his killers. After examining the evidence in the murdered student’s apartment, the team finds traces of pure, unprocessed heroin and discovers that the victim had a female roommate who is now missing. Meanwhile, Stella’s aggressive interrogation tactics with a witness threaten her police badge.

"Supply and Demand" was directed by Joe Chappelle, who makes his New York debut with the episode but is no stranger to the CSI franchise. The episode was written by Anne McGrail & Erica Shelton.

The following actors will be making a guest appearance in "Supply and Demand":

  • Joe Morton as Chief Dwight Hillborne
  • Chad Lindberg as Chad Willingham
  • Amy Aquino as Diane Lipstone
  • Lindsay Parker as Jordan Benson
  • Matt McCoy as Martin Benson
  • Tayler Sheridan as Joel Banks
  • Cliff Weissman as Mr. Novick
  • Don Wallace as Shaun Deroy
  • Sunkrish Bala as Alex
  • Trent Gill as Bill
  • Jowharah Jones as Kaitlyn
  • Devon Cromwell as Will Novick

This episode will mark Chad Lindberg's fourth appearance as eccentric lab technician Chad Willingham. TV veteran Amy Aquino is known for her recurring roles in the series ER, Everybody Loves Raymond, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Crossing Jordan, and Felicity, among many others. Fans might recognize Matt McCoy after his recurring role as Loyd Braun in the long-gone series Seinfeld.

CBS will also air a new episode of CSI on Thursday at 9/8c, "Committed". The episode has been described as follows:

When a brutal murder is committed at a state mental hospital, Grissom and Sara realize only a handful of residents and staff could be responsible for the killing. Meanwhile, Catherine and her team look into the death of young man whose body was found in a crop circle and shows no outward or inward signs of what killed him.

"Committed" was directed by Richard J. Lewis, who has also directed this season's "Crow's Feet", "Ch-Ch-Changes", "Snakes", and "King Baby". It was also written by Sarah Goldfinger, who also provided the story for the episode "4 x 4" & Uttam Narsu. Here are the guest actors appearing on the episode:

  • David Berman as David Phillips
  • Louise Lombard as Sofia Curtis
  • Wallace Langham as David Hodges
  • Archie Kao as Archie
  • Monique Edwards as Nannette Faber
  • Annie Corley as Nurse Joanne McKay
  • Harry Perry as Earl Simmonds

  • Greg Anthony as Kevin Stanland (stunt)
  • Roger Ranney as Morgan Wendel
  • Ken Garito as Tucker

Berman, Lombard, Langham, and Kao return to portray their recurring characters. Monique Edwards is no stranger to television, with guest appearances in television shows as ER, Friends, JAG, and Boston Public, among others. James Badge Dale is best known for his role as Chase Edmunds in the series 24.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
