'Pro Per' photo - courtesy CSI Guide, copyright CBS CBS Monday night debuted the promo for next week's CSI: Miami episode, entitled "Pro Per".

In the episode, a young woman is killed when a group of thugs opens fire at a party being held at an exclusive waterfront estate. The one person who may be able to help identify the killer turns out to be the woman's eight-year-old son, whom the CSIs must now protect from the suspects.

ON MONDAY'S NUMBER ONE SHOW, CSI: MIAMI

[A speedboat approaches a Miami waterfront estate.]
[A party is in full swing outside one of the exclusive mansions.]
[Text: 'Monday's #1 Show']
[Close-up of two women lounging poolside with champagne.]
[Text: 'CSI: Miami']
[The boat speeds across the water.]
[Close-up of a machine gun firing bullets.]
[The party guests dive for cover as they are fired upon.]
[The bullets shatter the bottles of champagne stacked on the tables.]
[Guests dive into the pool to escape the bullets.]
[Jennifer Valdez floats dead in the pool.]
[Horatio Caine and Detective Tripp survey the carnage.]
Tripp: "We've got a drive-by."
[Flashback to the murderer firing the gun from his boat.]
[Close-up of Horatio.]
Horatio: "Miami style."

A WOMAN IS GUNNED DOWN

[Delko helps to fish Jennifer Valdez's body out the pool.]
[The paramedics help Delko lift her out of the water.]
[Alexx bends over and examines Jennifer's corpse.]
Alexx: "She was killed by a single gunshot."
[Calleigh, standing nearby, looks surprised.]

AND THE ONLY WITNESS IS HER EIGHT YEAR OLD SON

[Horatio stands inside the house looking down at Ritchie Valdez.]
[He gets down on his knees to speak to Ritchie face-to-face.]
[The camera tracks in to a close-up of the boy's face.]
[Ritchie, terrified, talks to Horatio.]
Ritchie: "Is he going to get me too?"
[Horatio reassures the boy.]
Horatio: "He is never going to hurt you."
[The Miami coast guard corners the boat on the high seas.]
[A chase ensues across the water.]
[Horatio examines the gun used in the killing.]
[Close-up of the bullet.]
[Text: 'Miami's Biggest Manhunt']
[Two of the suspects engage in a fist-fight at the Miami-Dade PD.]
[Horatio stands over a workbench, examining the evidence.]
[Calleigh holds up a bullet retrieved from the crime scene.]
[Close-up of her hands as she handles the bullet.]
[One of the killers struggles to swim in the water.]
[Text: 'Is About To Begin']
[At night, Horatio jumps out of his hummer, brandishing his weapon.]

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
