As the new season approaches, information is revealed for all three members of the CSI franchise.

As CSI Files previously reported, CSI: Miami will be flashing back to 1997 in the eighth season premiere. Ausiello reports that Rory Cochrane (Tim "Speed" Speedle) turned down the offer to appear in the episode. Speed was killed off in the season three premiere, "Lost Son", and he was last seen as a hallucination by co-worker Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez) in "Bang, Bang, Your Debt" during season six. Delko's hallucinations were a result of the bullet fragment left in his brain after being shot in the season five episode "No Man's Land". This bullet fragment may be the cause of his medical troubles in the season eight premiere.

Cochrane won't appear in the flashback, but Frank Tripp (Rex Linn) will be there with something viewers are not used to seeing: hair. "We'll see Tripp with a comb over and Calleigh [Duquesne (Emily Procter)] says something like, 'You know, bald men are really sexy,'" executive producer Ann Donahue shared. "And then the next time we see him he's shaved his head."

Over on CSI: New York, earlier spoilers have promised struggles for newlyweds Danny Messer (Carmine Giovinazzo) and Lindsay Monroe (Anna Belknap), and in his latest interview with CSI Files, Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) revealed that his character would have a love interest in season six. With these relationships already on the schedule for the season, co-star Melina Kanakaredes (Stella Bonasera) told TV Guide that her character would not be pursuing a romantic relationship with leading man Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) any time soon. "[W]hen you put your two leads together, it's usually at the end of the run of the show, you know what I mean?" The actress said. However, Kanakaredes described the relationship between Mac and Stella as one that is very important. "They fit together," she said. "I always joke about the yin and the yang, it's a great team because they approach things differently, but at the end, - you need each other."

The original member of the franchise, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, is looking forward to the return of Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) in the season 10 premiere. Sara was last seen reuniting with Gil Grissom (William Petersen) in "One to Go" when the pair shared a kiss in the jungle after Grissom left the Las Vegas Crime Lab. Ausiello reports that Petersen will not be back with her at the start of the season. Fox is scheduled to appear in multiple episodes, and it is not known if Petersen will return later in the season.

Serial killer Paul Millander (Matt O'Toole) was last seen when he took his own life in the season two episode "Identity Crisis". In the second episode of CSI's tenth season, characters connected to Millander will make their return. "The last time we saw [serial killer] Paul Millander was in season 2 when Grissom had dinner at [his alter ego] Judge Mason's house, because, if you remember Paul lived a double life as a judge," executive producer Carol Mendelsohn revealed. "And we met Mrs. Mason and their young son, Craig. Well, Paul's dead, but Mrs. Mason and Craig live on. And we will see them in episode 2."

Also in episode two, executive producer Naren Shankar said fans will get a clue about the ring Dr Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) wears on his finger. In addition to these spoilers, Shankar provided some information about an ongoing storyline for the upcoming season. "We're going to launch a new season-long serial killer arc," he said. "Starting at the end of our premiere, a brand new nemesis [will emerge] who has a very unique way of killing." Shankar revealed that "the crime scene is always the body" with this serial killer, who will be known as "Dr Jekyl".

The video of Kanakaredes is from TV Guide. The Miami and CSI spoilers are from Ausiello. Thanks to mandy9578 and Elwood21 from TalkCSI.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
