Major League murder hits CSI: Miami.

According to CSI Files sources, the first Miami episode to air post-strike is "You May Now Kill the Bride". The story begins in a beautiful botanical garden. Nestled in amongst the rich greenery and exotic flowers, a wedding is taking place. Greg Tanner, a Major League Baseball star, is standing at the altar with his bride-to-be, Maria Alston. She is stunning in her veil decorated with silver flowers and diamonds.

Greg says "I do" and nudges his best man, Russell Brooks, so he'll hand over the ring. Russell pretends to be panicked and makes a show of searching for the ring, but he smiles as he pulls the ring from his pocket--he was only joking. The guests laugh, and Greg turns back to Maria as she says her vows. Before she can say "I do", a shot rings out and she collapses into Greg's arms.

Panic erupts among the guests, and Greg stares with horror at the blood on the side of Maria's head. It only took an instant, but she's gone. Greg shakes her, calling her name. Duane Cross, Greg's bodyguard, pulls him away from Maria's body as chaos continues to consume the guests. Duane says he needs to get Greg to safety and drags him to a Hummer limo, pushing the shocked man inside before jumping into the driver's seat and taking off.

Horatio joins Sergeant Tripp at the scene. Tripp tells the CSI that security at this wedding was so tight there was a no-fly zone. Horatio walks over to Russell Brooks. Another baseball player, he tells Horatio there is no way Greg was involved in Maria's death. Horatio tells him that it's strange for Greg to disappear after his fiancée is killed, but Russell is adamant--Greg would only leave for his own safety, not out of guilt.

Back at the morgue, Alexx tells Horatio that the bullet is still inside of Maria and that she should be able to retrieve it during the autopsy. She also shows him what looks like human tissue under Maria's nails. Horatio asks her to keep him posted and leaves, off to find the elusive groom. The police locate the limo and finally get Duane to pull over. Tripp stands in front of the vehicle and tells Duane to get out. They check both Greg and Duane and find a revolver on the bodyguard with one missing round.

Tripp gives the gun to Calleigh to test once she has the round Alexx recovered from Maria's head. Meanwhile, Horatio is in an interrogation room with Greg, asking about Duane. Greg is certain that Duane would never hurt Maria because they were all like family. He insists that his fame is what caused Maria's death because whoever it was must have been aiming at him.

As the team tries to unravel the case, they discover that several people at the wedding are keeping secrets--but are they worth killing to protect? Meanwhile, Delko meets a young woman who asks for his help. Knowing how similar situations turned out in the past, he has to decide if it's worth the risk. Things become simpler when he discovers a connection between her troubles and his current case. While everything else is going on, team unity is tested when Stetler installs a tally board to keep track of each of the CSIs and where they stand on the case--is it going to be one for all, or is everybody out for themselves?

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from early script drafts and the details of the episodes are liable to change before the episodes are shown.

"You May Now Kill The Bride" is expected to air March 24 on CBS.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
