The last all-new CSI: Crime Scene Investigation of November sweeps took the first place slot on Thursday night, despite a small dip in ratings.

According to ratings figures at Mediaweek, "After the Show" earned a rating of 19.3 overnight rating / 27 share. This means approximately 19.3 percent of American households with television sets were watching CSI, while the episode was seen by 27 percent of households watching television at that hour.

This was a slight drop from last week's 20.3/29 overnight rating for "Invisible Evidence" (story). However, "After the Show" was almost two points ahead of the second most popular show of the evening, ER, which scored a 17.6/26.

NBC managed to edge out CBS for the overall number one spot for the evening, with a 14.8/21 rating, compared to CBS's 14.6/21. NBC's pair Will and Grace and Scrubs, which air opposite CSI, scored 12.4/17 and 10.0/14, respectively, coming in second in the timeslot.

CSI's lead out show, Without a Trace, finished second in its timeslot with a 12.6/19, behind ER, which scored a 17.6/26 with a heavily promoted episode. Survivor: Pearl Islands pulled a 12.0/17, though it was beaten by the Thanksgiving episode of Friends (16.8/24), and a rerun of last year's holiday instalment (14.7/21).

The final ratings for last week's CSI and CSI: Miami outings were also released earlier this work, with both series turning in strong performances. Miami's "Grand Prix" was watched by 18.4 million viewers, making it the ninth most-watched programme in the week of November 10-16, according to SFGate.com.

Thursday night's "Invisible Evidence" once again made CSI America's number one prime time series. The episode was watched by 29.3 million viewers, just 0.3 million less than "Jackpot", which hit a season high with 29.6 million.

The original article can be found at Mediaweek, with national ratings available at SFGate.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
