June 29th will be a good day for fans of CSI: Miami, as they can now look forward to both the DVD release of the show's first season and the soundtrack for the series.

According to PR Newswire, the soundtrack will feature fourteen songs, including the CSI: Miami theme song, "Won't Get Fooled Again," by The Who. British artists dominate the collection, with contributions from two Americans and a Swedish group.

The best-known artists on the collection after The Who are Oasis, a British group that melds pop and punk, who contribute the track "The Masterplan," a 1998 B-side. The trip-hop group Massive Attack also contributes a title, the 2003 song "Everywhen." Fellow Brits "The Doves" offer up their song "Satellites," from their 2002 album.

Other artists contributing to the album include Ill Nino, Lamb, FC Kahuna, Bent, Nitin Sawhney, KY, Citizen Cope, Martina Topley Bird, Ian Brown, and Baxter. The soundtrack is available for preorder from Amazon.com, and is currently priced at $13.98 at Amazon.

The first season of CSI: Miami is due out the same day, featuring all 25 episodes. Special features on the set include five featurettes and several audio commentaries on the episodes. The special features on the set add up to about three hours. CSI: Miami season 1 is also availble to preorder at Amazon.com's DVD shop.
