The flagship series airs the only new episode this week.

On Monday at 10:00pm ET/PT, CSI: Miami was preempted by a repeat of The Mentalist.

CSI: New York will not air on Wednesday at 10:00pm ET/PT. Instead, CBS will air two episodes of Criminal Minds from 9:00-11:00pm ET/PT.

Thursday finds the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation team looking into the past in "If I Had A Hammer" at 9:00pm ET/PT:

: Catherine revisits one of the very first cases she worked as a CSI when the convicted felon in the murder (guest star Henry Thomas) claims the verdict was based on faulty evidence.

Brad Tanenbaum has directed three previous episodes of CSI, including "Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda" earlier this season. The story for this episode was written by Daniel Steck, who has no previous credits for the series. Allen MacDonald and Corinne Marrinan wrote the teleplay. MacDonald has written twelve episodes, most recently "Kill Me if You Can", and Marrinan has two writing credits for CSI, including "Deep Fried and Minty Fresh".

"If I Had a Hammer" will feature the following guest stars:

Marc Vann as Conrad Ecklie
Henry Thomas as Jeremy Kent
Charlotte Ross as Sabrina Owen
Adolphus Ward as Thomas Harrott
John Prosky as ADA Vanderpool
John Bain as Tyler Owen
Mark Totty as Clint Owen
Steve Seagren as Middle-Aged Detective
Brooke Newton as Sabrina Littee

Archie Kao and Marc Vann are reprising established recurring roles. John Prosky was in the CSI: NY episode "Necrophilia Americana". Mark Totty also appeared on New York, in "Murder Sings the Blues". The other actors are new to the franchise.

"If I Had a Hammer" airs April 23 on CBS.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?

	All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
	It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
	Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
	These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
	They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
	Three words: Hank the Skank.
