Board game manufacturer SBG announced this week it has released a Miami-themed sequel to its original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation board game.

"This game is exciting and interactive with challenges that will appeal to fans of the hottest crime series on television," SBG president Mark Sutcliffe, who also helped design the game, was quoted in a press release. The game consists of three rounds of play during which players have to collect evidence, all in the interest of becoming the first investigator to submit a correct arrest warrant, proving means, motive and opportunity for one of three suspects.

The game comes with a CSI: Miami Handbook, information cards for each of the cases, and small player pieces representing each of the main characters. In addition, the game comes with a 12-sided die that determines whether a player can gather evidence, miss a turn, or answer a quiz question about the actual series. "Just like the show, players never know where the evidence will lead," Sutcliffe said.

The CSI: Miami board game is a follow-up to the original CSI game released early last year, and already available in six languages. It's sold 700,000 copies so far, and led to the release of an expansion pack containing more crimes to solve. Both the original game and the expansion pack are still available from Amazon.com.

Further information on the Miami game can be found on the official SBG site, which has already started the selling the game for a price of $24.95.
