CBS has released the promo for the new CSI:Miami episode “Throwing Heat.”

In this episode, Detective Frank Tripp’s life hangs in the balance when he steps on a land mine while investigating a crime scene.

[A boat races to the ocean’s shore.] [Voice over: “When you go to Miami …”]

[A man’s jean-clad legs step out of the boat, into the shallow water near the shore.]

[Close-up on a young man’s face.]

[The young man runs toward dry land.]

[Simultaneous voice and text over: “… your step.”]

[A man’s foot steps onto the sand; as it does, sand explodes into the air in all directions.]

[The young man is thrown high in the air.]

[A motorcycle races past.]

[Close up on Horatio.]

[Horatio: “I think we’re looking for an assassin.”]

[A man sits on a boat, armed with a semi-automatic weapon pointed out toward the water.]

[Voice over: “It’s the most explosive …”]

[A baseball game is seen through the circular sight of a gun.]

[Ryan runs toward the camera.]

[Voice over: “… episode of Monday’s #1 show.”]

[A man lays dead on the ground.]

[Medium on Delko.]

[Delko: “What do you think? I’m gonna lay down without a fight?”]

[Ryan stands inside a small boat, while Horatio and two uniformed officers look on.]

[Close-up on Calleigh.]

[Close-up on Horatio.]

[A bullet flies through the air.]

[The bullet hits a uniformed officer in the shoulder.]

[The officer who has just been shot falls into the water.”]

[Voice over (Ryan): “Officer down! I repeat, officer down!”]

[Medium on Horatio, with gun drawn.]

[An man on a small balcony points his gun into the distance.]

[Voice over (cont.): “…could be the last.”]

[Glass shatters.]

[Horatio and stand on the sand of a beach.]

[A foot comes down on a small metal plate buried in the sand.]
