The new season kicks off for two members of the franchise.

CSI: Miami starts out its seventh season on Monday at 10:00pm ET/PT with "Resurrection", and the truth will be revealed:

The CSI team will stop at nothing to find who shot Horatio Caine and the evidence leads them to some of the most dangerous people in Miami, including one of their own.

"Resurrection" was directed by Joe Chappelle. Chappelle has directed 19 previous episodes of Miami, including last season's "All In". The episode was written by Barry O'Brien, who has written 12 other episodes, the latest being "You May Now Kill the Bride".

The following actors and actresses will guest-star in the Miami premiere:

  • Elizabeth Berkley as Julia Winston
  • Sofia Milos as Yelina Salas
  • Kim Coates as Ron Saris
  • Boti Bliss as Valera
  • Johnny Whitworth as Jake Berkeley
  • Kurt Long as Thomas Wellner
  • David Keith as Agent Evan Caldwell
  • Jose Zuniga as Juan Ortega
  • Saul Huezo as Miguel Diaz
  • Alex Solowitz as Todd Keener
  • Helena Barrett as Woman
  • Keith Chandler as Guard
  • Christopher Goodman as Driver

Elizabeth Berkley, Kim Coates, Boti Bliss and Johnny Whitworth are reprising established recurring roles. Sofia Milos is returning as Yelina Salas, last seen in "Ambush". Kurt Long, David Keith and Jose Zuniga previously appeared in the season six finale, "Going Ballistic". Helena Barrett was in four episodes of CSI: New York as a stunt double, the most recent being season two's "Fare Game".

CSI: New York starts season five on Wednesday at 10:00pm ET/PT with "Veritas". The episode follows last season's cliffhanger finale:

In the aftermath of a bank heist gone bad, Mac wakes up in a submerged car with no memory of how he got there.

Rob Bailey directed "Veritas", which is his twenty-first turn in the directors' chair for New York. His most recent episode was the season four finale, "Hostage". The episode was written by executive producer Pam Veasey. Veasey wrote 22 previous episodes of the show, including last season's "Right Next Door".

"Veritas" features the following guest-stars:

  • Elias Koteas as Joe
  • Elisha Skorman as Lauren Salinas
  • Ryan Cyrus Shams as Reporter #1
  • Julia Barnett as Reporter #2
  • Cynthia Silver as Reporter #3
  • Dayo Ade as Derrick James
  • Annika Boras as Paramedic
  • Kathleen Munroe as Samantha Flack
  • Andy Hopper as Skeezer
  • Deena Dill as Allison Scott

Elias Koteas returns as the mysterious bank robber from "Hostage". Dayo Ade is also reprising his role from the finale. Kathleen Munroe is making her first appearance as Flack's sister Samantha. None of the other actors have guest-starred in the CSI franchise before.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation won't be starting its new season until October 9, so it will air a repeat on Thursday. The season eight finale, "For Gedda", is scheduled to air at 10:00pm ET/PT, after the two hour premiere of Survivor: Gabon. In the episode, Warrick was accused of murdering an infamous Vegas gangster but had no memory of what happened.

"Resurrection", "Veritas" and the repeat of "For Gedda" begin airing September 22 on CBS.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
