Sources today revealed the first plot details for "Freaks and Tweaks", the penultimate episode of CSI: Miami's freshman season.

One of the episode's plotlines will centre around the murder of Tom Harmon, a family man who is found dead in his car outside a convenience store. Calleigh is called to the scene, and finds his wallet picked clean in the garbage bin, indicating a robbery. But the victim has been shot in the heart, which suggests a more intimate killing. Calleigh reacts with shock when she sees Harmon's driving license, suddenly realising where she's seen him before. The CSI met Tom and his wife, Julie, at a Christmas party thrown by coroner Alexx Woods.

When Alexx sees Tom's body on the table in the morgue, she refuses to assign the case to another coroner, even though the Harmons are close friends. Calleigh informs Alexx of her suspicion that Tom was killed by someone who knew him, what the CSIs term an "acquaintance murder". She doesn't take it well.

Julie Harmon is called in by Detective Hagen for an interview. She is adamant that Tom never had any enemies, and he definitely wasn't having an affair. After the interview is over, Alexx Woods, who watched everything through the glass, comes out to comfort her friend.

Meanwhile, Calleigh hits paydirt on fingerprints found on a bullet at the crime scene. They belong to Brad Kenner, a nightwatchman at the loading dock. When questioned, Brad says he had never met Tom Harmon. Calleigh then produces her forensic evidence, and he says the gun used at the crime scene wasn't his — it was a friend's. Brad opens his wallet and shows Calleigh the friend's picture. It's Julie Harmon.

The A-story of the episode will reportedly feature Horatio, Delko and Speedle investigating the death of a "tweaker", which is a slang term for someone who is hooked on speed.

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The information comes from an early draft of the script and details may change before the episode goes to air.

"Freaks and Tweaks" will likely air on May 12, 2003.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
