Alliance Atlantis Reports Record Quarterly Results CSI franchise producer shows healthy and growing financial status in 2004's third quarter.

Alliance Atlantis, the production company responsible for putting together the episodes for all three threads of the CSI franchise, released a report on its financial state at the end of this year's third quarter.

The report, covering the period July 1st to September 30th, was made available on Canadian communications company CNW Telbec's website. It covered the company's full financial results and also made numerous mentions of the CSI franchise.

The company reports a healthy state, with its EBITDA rating up 79% compared with the same quarter last year. EBITDA is an acronym for 'Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization.' It is a key financial measure of a company's performance and profitability often watched by investors.

The company further reported that it had amended results for its second-quarter report of this year, as it had not correctly accrued the full costs for the CSI franchise. This resulted in the amendment of the 'Entertainment' segment of its EBITDA for the second quarter from $16 million down to $4.1 million. Whilst this seems like a sharp drop, the alteration puts the figures more in line with the company's original estimates.

On an entertainment front, the company noted that all three CSI shows had performed outstandingly, with Crime Scene Investigation, Miami and New York rated as the No. 1, No. 4 and No. 8 shows respectively on US television at present re. Most significantly (and undoubtedly due to the premiere of New York), the company expected to produce 27 episodes in the final quarter of this year, compared with last year's order of 17.

The report also made reference to the upcoming weekday syndication of CSI: Miami, expected to occur in fall 2006 on the A&E Television Network, which currently only has right to syndicate the show once a week. All in all, the company's interests, "including the highly successful CSI franchise, are operating at record levels," noted CEO and chairman Michael MacMillan.

You can read the full report and financial breakdown here on the CNW Telbec website.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
