CBS To Preview Its New Season On Sept. 14th

On September 14th, CBS will present a 30-minute special sneak-peak at their 2005-2006 season.

Hosted by Two And A Half Men stars Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones, the special will preview the six new shows that will be added to CBS's fall schedule. Aside from two sitcoms, the Eye network will be airing four new dramas.

Jerry Bruckheimer's Closer To Home follows the life of Annabeth Chase, a young prosecutor trying to bring justice to crimes that occur in suburbia. With a new baby at home, Chase's passion for putting criminals away is fierce. Another new drama is Criminal Minds. Starring Thomas Gibson and Shemar Moore, the show focuses on an elite squad of FBI profilers whose job is to anticipate when the country's most violent criminals will strike. Criminal Minds premieres September 22nd.

Another new drama is Ghost Whisperer, which stars Jennifer Love-Hewitt and CSI's Aisha Tyler (Mia Dickerson). The show will focus on the life of Melinda Gordon (Love-Hewitt), a young woman who can communicate with the dead. Ghost Whisperer premieres September 23rd at 8 p.m. On September 16th at 9:00 p.m., CBS will premiere Threshold. CSI's Anne McGrail will co-executive produce this new series, which revolves around the government's reaction to an imminent alien invasion. Threshold's premiere will be two hours long.

The Eye network has also announced the new additions to its star roster. Among them is Eva La Rue, who will portray DNA analyst Natalia Boa Vista on CSI: Miami, and Ron Yuan, CSI: New York's brand new medical examiner. Various CSI guest-stars have also landed new gigs on CBS. One-time Miami guest Lauren Holly will be joining the cast of NCIS, while Dylan Bruno, who appeared on Miami's "Hurricane Anthony," will be joining the cast of Numb3rs. The same show will also see the addition of Diane Farr, who played Marcie Tobin on CSI's "Cats in the Cradle..."
