  • In addition to her recent interview with Southern Vanity (story), the newly revamped official web site of Emily Procter (Calleigh Duquesne) has also been updated with a profile of the CSI: Miami actress from Runner's World. In the article, Procter reveals she only started running a year ago, but had been dreaming of being a runner all her life.

  • According to the Futon Critic, CBS has ordered a new comedy pilot from Jerry Bruckheimer, also the producer of the three CSI shows. The as yet untitled project revolves around three adult siblings (two brothers, one sister) who rally to support their eccentric professor father when their mother leaves him.

  • CSI: New York's Mac Taylor, who lost his wife in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, is one of the characters mentioned in a Boston Globe article on the increasing use of 9/11 in American television shows.

  • CBS is running new trivia contests for the original CSI, CSI: Miami and CSI: New York that will allow you to win prizes such as an LCD HD television or CSI DVD box sets.

  • After the recent controversy about Chris Rock's remarks about the Oscars, Ted Casablanca at E! Online asked several celebrities if they feel the host of the Academy Awards should be impartial or not. "Yes," responded Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle), "but I think that folks should be good-humored about hosts making jokes and things." Thanks to the JFO for this!

  • Eric Szmanda (Greg Sanders) will be part of the cast of a one-time stage reading of the screenplay of Casablanca. The event will take place April the 3rd at 4pm in the Pantages Theatre, located on 6233 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.   • Erica's CSI Caps site is the first fan site to have images from last Thursday's new CSI episode, "King Baby."

  • Cheryl Heuton, the creator of CBS's new hit show Numb3rs, credits CSI for the success of her show. "The network bought it halfway through our pitch," she told the Grand Forks Herald. "I think CSI paved the way, got them thinking about the possibilities of the technical, science side."

  • CBS's official five-page summary of last Wednesday's new CSI: New York episode, "Til Death Do We Part," is now available on the official NY web site. Synopses of Miami's "Identity" and the original CSI's "King Baby" are also available on the respective official web sites, but due to the Flash interface on those sites, it's impossible to link directly to the summaries.

  • British budget game publisher Focus Multimedia has announced it will re-release the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation computer game, which was originally published by UbiSoft, at a new price point of £9.99. There is no word on whether a similar budget re-release will be available outside the UK.

  • The fifth season of the original CSI recently debuted in Singapore on the sattelite channel AXN, according to Asia1.com.

  • MargHelgenberger.net has posted a seven-minute video clip of the original CSI cast at the People's Choice Awards.

  • Nicole Colson at the Australian Green-Left Weekly examines the popularity of both fictional and non-fiction forensic TV shows.

  • What, you really think we'd end these News Bullets without mentioning yet more schools who were inspired by CSI to introduce new forensic science courses? This week, there's the Montwood High School profiled in the El Paso Times, the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory profiled at RedNova.com, the Liberty Middle School profiled at the Forsyth County News, and even a senior education program highlighted by KLAS TV in Las Vegas.
