This week, Paramount Pictures released the cover arts for the new DVD sets of both CSI and CSI: Miami.

'CSI' Season 5 DVD cover art' - copyright Paramount Pictures The CSI cover art for the complete 5th seson features the original five characters of the show, with William Petersen (Gil Grissom) and Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) on the forefront. Though Eric Szmanda's Greg Sanders began working on the field during season 5, his image was not added to the cover. The CSI season 4 DVD box set has a tentative release date of November 18th, 2005, according to TVShowsOnDVD.

The cover art for CSI: Miami was also revealed this week. The third season DVD cover art features a close up of front-man Horatio Caine, with his CSI team in the background. Jonathan Togo (Ryan Wolfe) has been added to the art while Rory Cochrane (Tim Speedle) was taken out, despite his appearance in "Lost Son." A release date for the DVD has yet to be set by Paramount, but judging from the release date of the complete second season, which hit stores on January of this year, fans may have to wait a few days after new year to get their hands on this set.

And on the subject of releases, the release date of the complete first season of CSI: New York has changed yet again. The DVD set was originally supposed to hit stores in September, was later pushed back to October 25th, but was recently re-scheduled again for October 18th. The first New York set includes 7 discs containing all 23 episodes of the series, plus the Miami/New York crossover "MIA/NYC – NonStop," the actors' take on their characters, a set tour, a behind-the-scenes look, and more. Fans can already pre-order this DVD set from Amazon.com, which will apparently sell it for $55.99.

'Grave Danger DVD cover art' - copyright Momentum Pictures Meanwhile, if you live in Britain and missed the first airing of "Grave Danger" due to its re-scheduling, Momentum Pictures recently announced the release of a special DVD set containing the CSI season finale episode. The Region 2 encoding DVD will be released on October 10th and includes the CSI and CSI: Miami pilots as a special feature.

Check out the new CSI and Miami art covers at TVShowsOnDVD. Fans in the Europe can purchase the Region 2 set of "Grave Danger" from Play.com.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
