This week, George Eads appeared on the Late, Late Night Show with Craig Ferguson, where the actor recalled an embarrassing story that occurred when he auditioneded for the Quentin Tarantino film, Jackie Brown.

"He sent me this script to read, and I didn't quite make it through all of it, and right when I walked in the door, he goes, 'Hey thanks for coming in, you read the whole script right?'" the actor laughed. Eads, who didn't want to appear irresponsible, told a little white lie, but things didn't quite turn out the way he wanted them to. "[He] was reading with me actually. He was reading the other person's lines, and I didn't expect that either, and a well needless to say he picked another guy later, in the movie for me to read for, and I didn't know what I was doing, and I kinda winged it, and... you didn't see me in the movie."

Years later, Eads finally had the opportunity to make amends with Tarantino when the director came on board to sit behind the wheel of the season finale. "Well I got to come clean with him about that on the set of CSI, and so it was kind of a chance to sort of redeem myself and show that I wasn't a complete hack."

The Tarantino-directed finale, "Grave Danger," is set to air tonight at 8/7c, and none may be more excited than the producers of the show themselves. CSI creator Anthony Zuiker recently told the Calgary Sun the story of how Tarantino came to direct the finale with gusto. "We heard he was a fan of the show. He came up with the story and then we co-wrote the finale. We have some of that great Tarantino dialogue."

The two-hour season finale promises to be a rollercoaster ride of emotions. For those of you who are planning to tape "Grave Danger" and watch it later, actor Robert David Hall (Dr. Al Robbins), along with other CSI cast members, appeared on the Canadian television ETalk Daily to strongly advise against it. "You'll be on the edge of your seat. This is not an episode that you would want to TIVO, with Quentin directing it. All the stops are going to be pulled out."

To read the rest of Zuiker's comments to the Calgary Sun, visit Jam! Showbiz. Thanks to Al Forno for the heads up and to Destiny at the message boards for the transcript of Eads on Ferguson. The rest of the cast comments to ETalk can be accessed via Elyse's.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
