  • The Futon Critic announced that CBS has pulled the new episodes of several shows that were slated to air this week, including the CSI: New York episode "Happily Never After". No information was given about when the episode would air.

  • On Thursday, January 31, Lost will begin airing the eight episodes that the show completed before the writers' strike began. The show is taking over the 9:00pm timeslot from Grey's Anatomy. This will put it up against CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, which only has one more new episode in the can. More information on ABC's midseason schedule can be found on Zap2it.

  • CSI: New York star Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) was recently in his home state of Iowa. As CSI Files reported in October, Harper is supporting presidential hopeful Barack Obama. The actor wished to "give some personal insight" about Obama. After school, "[h]e went back and started community organizing and working for the community and teaching," Harper said.

    For some young African-American kid, or anyone who I think is underprivileged, to see the image of an intelligent African-American male who has literally used the springboard of education to ascend [is powerful]. That's exactly what Barack has done.

  • Eva La Rue (Natalia Boa Vista) is a spokesperson for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, and the Miami star is scheduled to take part in the Chix With Stix Teal Tour in January.

  • In the world of "As seen on CSI", the I-Tech Virtual Laser Keyboard, which appeared in the CSI: Miami episode "Silencer" during the show's fourth season, can be purchased for $179.99 (€127.10). The portable gadget projects a full-sized keyboard onto any surface but is difficult to see in bright light.
