  • George Eads (Nick Stokes) recently gave out his opinion on CSI's spin-offs and why the show has been so successful. "What seemed so original and unique and precious about what we were doing... That's a little rough, when you see the guy [in a new show] cast exactly as your character. As [font color=yellow>William Petersen] said, if it were just about the science, 30 million people would be tuning in to the Discovery Channel."

  • A series of small media clippings have been added to DavidCarusoFans.com, including a hilarious cartoon of David Caruso (Horatio Caine) and Dennis Franz from their days on NYPD Blue.

  • Emily Procter (Calleigh Duquesne) has been chosen by Charriol jewelry as model for their fall ad campaign. Starting September, the actress will appear on various magazines modeling the jewelry. "Charriol jewelry is wonderful in its ability to be simultaneously appropriate and elegant for both day and evening wear," Procter said. "I am honored to represent this family-owned and operated company."

  • Screen caps of the CSI episodes "And Then There Were None" and "Fight Night" have been added to the William Petersen Attic.

  • If you live in Europe and are a fan of CSI: Miami, various countries have already announced when they'll be airing season 3 of the series. France will show two episodes of the show (one new and one a rerun) starting August 31st on Wednesdays at 20.50 on TF1. In Belgium, the 3rd season of the series will premiere Monday August 22nd at 20.15 on Rtl-Tvi. Starting this week, Holland will be moving Miami and New York from their old carrier on to RTL5, and in Germany, CSI: New York will premiere August 29th at 20.15. The network VOX will be showing two episodes every Monday.

  • A recap of the CSI: New York episode "Grand Master" has been added to the website Fandom Talk.

  • On August 18th, IDW publishing will release the second New York comic book. The website described the plot as follows, "As Taylor and Messer descend into the sewers of Manhattan in search of a savage killer, Bonasera and Flack pursue leads that take them into the world of the theater. Can the CSI team act in time to catch a killer that seems to be less-or more-than human?"

  • Hill Harper's (Dr. Sheldon Hawkes) appearance on 4400 was recently praised by TV Gal. Columnist Amy Amatangelo described him as a, "fantastic guest star."

  • Thanks to the CSI computer games more women are playing video games than before. But Kelly Zmak, the new chief operating officer and senior vice-president of Vancouver's Radical Entertainment, wishes the industry would do more to attract women towards the video game craze. "There's a huge market for mysteries, particularly with females, and yet no one has been able to deliver that in an electronic medium to a female audience that has worked yet."

  • CSI has also propelled Webster's New World College Dictionary to add more 'high-tech' words to its latest edition. Words like "omega-3," "Botox," "HRT," "irritable bowel syndrome," and "Xanax" can be found in the dictionary.

  • CSI writer David Rambo recently premiered his play The Lady With All the Answers, about real life columnist Ann Landers, who for years gave her readers advice on how to deal with life. Daryl H. Miller , of the Los Angeles Times, has provided a review of the play. "Rambo [...] drew the material from Landers' life and letters, with the cooperation of Landers' daughter, Margo Howard. The result is engaging from beginning to end, but it also feels superficial and unsurprising."

  • And more teenagers are learning about crime scene investigation this summer. This time, students at the Wilson Police Department Youth Academy in North Carolina learned that real investigators rely on team-work to solve crimes.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
