After a brief hiatus, the weekly review roundups have returned. Below are the available reviews for CSI episodes "Nesting Dolls", "Unbearable", and CSI: New York's "Til Death Do We Part".

  • We start on a humorous note with Sobell, of Television Without Pity, who gave "Nesting Dolls" a B. "I may not agree with how Sara conducted herself, but she gets points for knowing how to make an exit." Read Sobell's funny review here.

  • Ki's Empire, of TV Tome, was happy to see Ecklie got what he deserved, but wondered if the characters' personalities might be changing:

"Catherine was a little weird tonight. She didn't seen all that mad when Sara shouted at her but once Ecklie talked to her, Catherine wants to see Sara go. Speaking of Ecklie, I really hope he leaves soon, he drags the whole CSI spirit down, it was very satisfying seeing Sara shout at him."

Ki's Empire gave "Nesting Dolls" a C-. You can read her full review here.

  • TV Guide's Watercooler columnist Rochell Thomas had a different reaction to "Nesting Dolls". Never mind character development, Thomas is simply happy about all the things she learned during the episode, including, "If I ever break my jaw, the doctors will use 26-gauge stainless steel to surgically wire my mouth shut (and I'll probably finally eat within my Weight Watchers flex-point range)." Read the rest of her review at the watercooler.

  • A week later, Sobell thought "Unbearable" was a slight improvement over the previous week's episode, giving it a B+ mark, but found the high-fenced plot a bit disturbing. Read Sobell's review at Television Without Pity.

  • Ki's Empire also found "Unbearable" was an improvement over "Nesting Dolls". "The plot was twisted, I was impressed, there were plenty of suspects, all with believable motive. Greg got to do his first interrogation of a suspect too, very nice though I have to say he isn't the least bit threatening." Read her full review at TV Tome.

  • Back at TV Guide's Watercooler, Rochell Thomas did not learn anything from "Unbearable", but has a lesson for everyone instead, "If the woman is 'like a sister to you' or she's your daughter, then — all together now — you do not sleep with her husband!"

  • rmoses of TV Tome is delighted with the direction CSI: New York is taking, and was particularly impressed with last night's episode "Til Death Do We Part":

One of the things that is most impressive about this show, the other CSI shows, and Without A Trace is their production. It is not in the grand sweep of the cameras showing the New York skyline. It is in the little things like the music used during the lab work collages and the almost medieval look of the inside of the old New York buildings the CSI team works in. Will CSI:NY ever win the Emmy for Best Drama series? Probably not, but it is still one of the best shows on television. Interestingly enough, this version of CSI has a better chance at that statue then the first version.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
