Rory Cochrane resurrects Tim Speedle.

Cochrane's character on CSI: Miami was killed in the premiere of the show's third season, "Lost Son". Three years later, Cochrane returned to his old stomping grounds to step into Speedle's shoes once again. "When I left the show [in 2004], there was part of my contract saying that if they wanted to, they could ask me back for two episodes per season for the remaining years of my contract," he explained to the New York Post.

"They never exercised that option because they shot my character and performed an autopsy on him," Cochrane continued. "So when they asked, 'Would you come back for an episode?' it seemed strange to me, but I didn't know what the scenario would be and I said sure." Cochrane also pointed out that his part in the episode "Bang, Bang, Your Debt" was a small one. "I did one episode and I only speak in one scene so it's really not a big deal," he said.

"I've heard rumors from other people thinking I'm returning to the show for real," Cochrane said. However, that is not the case. "I'll be sort of an imaginary person. I'm in someone's head but I'm still dead as far as I know," he explained. Co-executive producer Sunil Nayar elaborated on Speedle's presence. "Tim returns and it's not in some sort of flashback. He is present. It's a way for the team to question the loss of a guy they used to work with," he said.

For the time being, Cochrane's return was limited to a single episode. "They haven't said anything about bringing me back again," he said. Nayar revealed that future appearances might be a possibility. "He's back for this episode and then we're going to see where it goes," he explained. "We're hoping to bring him back occasionally."

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
